Who we are
This website is run by PhotoBomb Events Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 10840142 ("PhotoBomb", "we", "us"). Our address is Unit 10 Croydon Street, Holbeck, Leeds LS11 9RT.
We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about it, or want to exercise your rights, contact us at bookings@photobomb.co.uk or on 0113 365 0066.
What we collect

- Bookings: your name, contact details, billing details, and event details such as the date, venue and guest numbers.
- Job applications: your name, email address, phone number, CV and any covering message.
- Event photos: photos and videos taken by our booths at events, and any email address or phone number a guest enters at the booth to receive their photos.
- Website usage: information about how you use this website, such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location, collected through cookies (see below).
How we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to enquiries and provide quotes: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, or steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To deliver the events you book, take payment and keep business records: performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligations under tax and accounting rules.
- To take and share event photos with the host and their guests: performance of our contract with the event host.
- To consider job applications: our legitimate interests in recruiting, and steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
- To measure and improve this website and our advertising: your consent where it is required for cookies, otherwise our legitimate interests.
We do not sell your personal data.
Brand activations
When a business hires us for a branded activation, any data captured at the booth (such as email addresses and marketing opt-ins) is collected on behalf of that business. In that case the business is the controller and we process the data on its instructions. Its own privacy policy explains how it will use your data.
Cookies and similar technologies
This website uses cookies and similar technologies. Some are needed for the site to work, including one that remembers your cookie choice. Others come from Google, which provides our analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising measurement (Google Ads), and from the embedded Google Map on our About page.
We only set Google's analytics and advertising cookies if you accept them in our cookie banner. If you reject them, Google may still receive basic signals, such as that a page was viewed, without any cookies or identifiers being stored on your device. Google uses these to estimate overall statistics.
You can change your choice at any time using in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalisation in your Google account settings.
Who we share it with
We share personal data only where needed, with:
- service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, database, email delivery, booking, payment and accounting providers
- Google, for analytics, advertising measurement and maps
- the event host, for photos taken at their event
- professional advisers, insurers and authorities where we are legally required to
Our providers may only use your data to provide their service to us, and must keep it secure.
International transfers
Some of our providers store or process data outside the UK. Where they do, we make sure the transfer is protected, for example by relying on a UK adequacy decision or using the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Booking and financial records are kept for six years to meet tax and accounting rules. Enquiries that don't turn into a booking, unsuccessful job applications and event photo galleries are deleted once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- restrict or object to how we use your data
- receive your data in a portable format
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent
To exercise any of these rights, email bookings@photobomb.co.uk. We will respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
